The EU will invest 150,000 million euros in infrastructure in Africa

Dakar, Senegal

The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stated on February 10 that the European Union intends to invest 150,000 million euros in infrastructure in Africa, in a clear challenge to China's large investments in the continent.

The EU's strategy -he added- "will involve everyone", "wants to generate growth" and "wants to generate trust" because it is "anchored in the values in which Europe and Africa come together, such as transparency, sustainability, good governance and concern for the well-being of populations".

COSMOSIVICSA, with the help of ICEX and the Spanish Commercial Office in Dakar, are exploring possible projects where these funds are applied. Within the framework of the Langue de Barbarie and Lac Rose project, both developed by COSMOSIVICSA, partners David Sastre and Pietro P Speziale traveled to Dakar to discuss it in detail.

There, they had a lunch with different political and technical representatives to study in detail all the possibilities. For COSMOSIVICSA, Senegal is a priority country.
