The project of THE CHIQUIHURCU - PELILEO DRINKING WATER SYSTEM is divided into:

1_ DRIVING LINE. - The project begins in the town of Apatug, Juan Benigno Vela Parish in the city of Ambato, Province of Tungurahua; with a length of 19,940 meters in ductile iron and steel pipes until reaching the Teligote treatment plant in the community of the same name in the Pelileo canton.

2_ MODULAR TYPE TREATMENT PLANT, with a total of 4 units, and an installed water treatment capacity of 100 l / s. Each module includes the following treatments: Aeration, Flocculation, Sedimentation, Filtration and Chlorination, and is in charge of delivering drinking water to the city of Pelileo.

3_ DISTRIBUTION LINE AND RESERVOIR TANKS. - In high-pressure PVC pipe and with a total length of 32,077 meters, the water is distributed through distribution tanks (TR) and it is conducted in several distribution lines to the 8 reservoir tanks, with capacities between 300 and 1,000 m3 , located in rural parishes such as El Rosario, García Moreno, Catitahua, Bolívar, Huambaló, Benítez and Pelileo Urban Parish, belonging to the Pelileo canton in the Province of Tungurahua.
