Renovation Works Management
The present project includes Renovation Works Management in the Sewage Treatment Plant in Guardamar del Segura. Originally, the Sewage Treatment Plant was located in the lagoon and the present plant has been constructed in the same place in the additional western lagoon. Its installation was carried out in few stages pre-treatment, arrival works – fines processing, desanding, degreasing, biological reactor, A2O system which consists of phase I – oxygenfree and anaerobic chambers, and phase II – oxygen chambers, secondary decantation, tertiary treatment: filtration – disinfection, chlorination chamber.
Capacity
The factory was designed for an average daily flow rate of 11.000 m3 and a population equivalent of 85.000 PE. The factory’s yield, concerning the DBO5 reduction is 95,00%.

The Sewage Treatment Plant had been realized in 15 months
Guardamar del Segura now has a better WWTP to improve the environment and community life
