Despite the fact that the residential business has been affected by the crisis caused by Covid-19; many promoters have decided to go ahead with their residential projects. Between April and August, a total of 996 developments and 27,882 homes were started in Spain, according to data from the real estate big data platform Brains RE.

Of this almost a thousand projects started after the outbreak of the pandemic, ten developments stand out due to their size, totaling 1,691 homes, according to data from Brains RE.

These ten developments are located in the Community of Madrid, the Basque Country, the Valencian Community and Andalusia. Amenabar is the promoter that is developing the most projects, since it has four of these promotions. Among them is the development of 436 homes under the build to rent regime that Amenabar is building together with the Ares fund in Valdebebas (Madrid).

With more than three decades of experience, the Basque developer Amenabar is immersed in a new stage of growth, which will lead it to deliver more than 4,500 homes in the next three years.

For Ares, this is not the first build to rent project, it already has others like the one it has with Aedas Homes to build 500 homes or with Metrovacesa to develop 121 units.
