The area of Barranquilla
The area of Barranquilla, since always, has a major problem caused by the streams that cross formed by rainwater in the region, causing flooding, damage to urban infrastructure and service networks, environmental damage, paralysis of business industrial and through urban transport, deteriorating public health and accidents with loss of life.
Aim of the project
The proposed work aims to channel the stream that runs along the street 84, between 41B and 74 streets, through the implementation of a large buried collector, designed for a return period of 100 years, with sections and multistage approximate length of 1,900 m.
Another works
In addition to the collector, the redevelopment of the street 84 was carried out on the section concerned by the intervention.
