Expressway AP-7

The designed road of approximate length of 14 km will connect the present airport in Castellón, which is now under construction with a toll gate on the expressway AP-7 in the town of Torreblanca and with a national road N-340. The new road will enable fast and comfortable connection with the roads parallel to the sea coast, such as trunk road N-340 and expressway Ap-7 mentioned above that are currently highly congested, with the planned expressway CV-10, that will accumulate huge part of the traffic in directions North- South in Castellón province – from La Jana to Almenara town.

CV-13 Road to Castellón Airport

At first, a construction of an “express road” with 100km/h speed limit was planned. But yet the route study realized
guaranties the viability of converting this road into one of freeway lanes if the traffic intensity requires such changes. In
addition, there were 2 link roads and ten viaducts designed, thanks to which the new road will have a grade separated
way over the existing road system, precipices and watercourses. Apart from a viaduct projects, a project of the grade
separation with the expressway AP-7 was designed.

Road designed for 100 km/h speed but optional future conversion into freeway roads if needed

The execution time for the works planned in the project is twenty months.
