Amazing landscape
The Project is located in a privileged site, on the top of a mountain offering a wonderful view over a small valley, a native forest and a distant landscape that fills with color at sunset. Undoubtedly, from the beginning, the Project was focused on making the most of these attributes and therefore the house was designed aiming to provide every space with a direct contact with the landscape at all times.
Linear layout structured by stone walls and patios
The house was placed at the edge of the hill and designed to generate a linear layout so that all spaces could enjoy the view. In this way, a series of rectangular volumes were formed, separated only by a series of patios and stone walls of greater proportions that allow the program to be structured and provide isolation between the social and private areas of the house.
Local and natural materials and atmosphere
Furthermore, the materiality of the house was selected aiming to produce an atmosphere that connected the owners not only with the landscape that surrounds the house but also with the local culture. Therefore, the use of concrete, stone and wood is a constant all over the design producing a warm feeling and a certain unity between the house and the landscape.
