Cosmos Pavilion in Venice's Biennale

Venice,Italy

We are thrilled to announce that our project Pavilion of Egypt at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale had been awarded and runner up for the final phases of the international competiotion. The last December 23rd we were invited by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and National Organization for Urban Harmony to attend the official ceremony and collect our prize.
In addition to this award we have more good news, in fact we have been published by a large number of architectural web platforms well known throughout the world. Such us Archdaily and Designboom, leaders in the web with millions of followers.

ARCHDAILY
In 2008, while the people was working as architects, the founders of archdaily realized that there was no place for their peers to experience the latest projects, products, and trends. So, they decided to build it.
They began as a platform to collect and spread the most important information for architects seeking to build a better world. Today, they are an ever-evolving tool for anybody who has a passion and determination to shape the world around them, including the 13.6 million readers that visit ArchDaily every month.

DESIGNBOOM
Founded in milan in 1999, designboom is the world’s first and most popular digital architecture and design magazine.
Media is still the connective tissue of society, and compared to 1999, the internet has come a long way. During this time, creating a digital publication was still primarily the business of tech-savvy nerds but online publishing has gone from something abstract to being a central element in how many of us live and work. today, when people are searching for something, they’ll look it up online

INHABITAT

Inhabitat is a green design and lifestyle site that provides coverage of environmental news and the latest in sustainable design. This website is devoted to the future of design, innovative technology and any architectural projects or concepts that emphasize energy efficiency, sustainability and connection to the surrounding environment.
Inhabitat was founded in 2005 by designer Jill Fehrenbacher as a forum for investigating emerging trends in product, interior and architectural design.
The challenge that was at the beginning this project has begun a great opportunity for all the team of Cosmos that partecipated in this competitions (Mohamed Hassan El-Gendy, Sameh Zayed, Pietro Paolo Speziale, Juan Martinez Zafra, David Sastre and Nader Moro) to make more conscious people about the important topic that we tried to tell through our design in the Pavilion of Egypt.
